73rd Tulpenrallye

For six days your world is a road book, a tripmeter and the road ahead.

The 73rd Tulpenrallye leaves Lyon and runs back to Eindhoven by way of the Jura and Luxembourg — along back roads you would never have found on your own, past views that stop you before you have decided to. In the evening the cars stand on the square in front of the hotel and the conversation picks up where it left off that morning. Against the clock you drive alone; everything else you do together.

On Sunday 2 May there is first an optional practice run around Lyon; participants and organisation then kick off in the French Alps with an opening reception and dinner. On Monday 3 May the rally begins. Six rally days over iconic mountain passes, through magnificent landscapes and past historic towns, with a test on a circuit or closed terrain and a regularity trial every day. Lunch and dinner at unique locations, the route briefing at dinner, and the finale via Luxembourg and Belgium to the finish on North Brabant soil.

The rally is run in three classes: Touring for crews with little or no rally experience, Sporting for crews experienced in multi-day rallies, and Expert for the most experienced crews. The Expert class also drives an evening stage.
